SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
Search engine optimisation or SEO for short is the process of raising your website up the rankings in search engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo. This allows a website or business owner to gain organic (free) traffic from the search engines. We say it’s free because unlike Pay Per Click, there is no charge for every visitor your website gains from having a well designed and well optimised site.
There are many different factors that affect the performance of your website in the search engines. However, some of the main onsite items are website content, speed, and user-friendliness. These items don’t just affect your Google ranking, they also change how a visitor may react whilst visiting your website. A slow website that is not easy to use, with poor content, will push a user away before you even know they’ve been. If you are computer literate and want to attempt to complete your website SEO yourself, you can read the SEO guide that Google produce for website owners. The guide is 32 pages long and is designed as a starters guide.
However, we know as a business owner, Your time is valuable and dedicating the number of hours required to keeping your website optimised and up to date with the latest SEO techniques isn’t cost effective for most business owners. Employing a Specialist Agency like ours, Turtle Media & Marketing allows you to free up your time, safe in the knowledge that your website is in the hands of the professionals. We will work closely and transparently with you to devise a strategy to move your website forward, to grow your traffic and increase your bottom line and sales.
What SEO Packages are Available
So your business needs more traffic, is it time to consider investing in SEO? Before we show you what packages we have available we need to know a bit more about your business. We need to know who your business competes with. Not your actual competitors (we will come to this later) but just initially whether you are a national or a local business.
Local Business: A local business is one that sells a product or service to a particular area. For example, if you are based in Liverpool and offer plumbing services to the people of Liverpool and the surrounding areas, and you have no interest in obtaining work from clients in e.g. London, Brighton or Edinburgh then we would class you as a local business. As such we would offer you a local business SEO package which targets the search engines local capabilities.
National Business: A national business is one that offers their products or services to the whole of the UK and even beyond our borders. Even if you sell online and ship to everyone in the UK but only have a shop in Liverpool, then you’re a national business. For SEO purposes and in order to deliver you paying customers from across the country, we have to employ a different SEO strategy that will allow us to compete with businesses from across the UK.
